You keep 92.5% of every sale, and card processing on standard UK cards is included — there is no separate Stripe fee on top and nothing per transaction. The 7.5% is worked out on the full price of the job and comes out of whatever is paid online: on a £120 job with a £30 deposit, our £9 comes out of the deposit, so you receive £21 now and £90 on the day. Part of our 7.5% funds the Pocket Partner Referral Programme, which is how businesses who introduce other businesses get paid.

When you get the money
Card payments go straight into your own Stripe account — they never sit with us. Stripe holds each payment for 7 days, then pays your bank on the schedule you set in Stripe. The wait is what protects you if a customer disputes a payment weeks later. Need it sooner? Stripe offers instant payouts from its own dashboard. Cash and card taken on your own terminal never touch us and are yours immediately.

- What does it cost to start?
- Nothing. There is no subscription and no setup fee. We take 7.5% of payments taken through PocketPro, and nothing at all on tips — you can record a tip worth as much as the service itself and it reaches you whole. If you take no money through it, you pay nothing.
- Do I need a website already?
- No — your page is the website. You get your own address at yourname.mypocketpro.app as soon as you sign up.
- When do I get my money?
- Card payments go into your own Stripe account, not ours. Stripe holds each one for 7 days and then pays your bank on whatever schedule you set in Stripe. The wait is what protects you if a customer disputes a payment. Need it sooner? Stripe offers instant payouts from its dashboard for a small fee of its own.
- Is there a limit on tips?
- A tip can be as large as the service itself, and every penny of it is yours — we take no fee on tips at all. The limit exists only because tips carry no fee: without it, a £1 service with a £99 "tip" would be a way to take £100 and pay us almost nothing. If a customer is unusually generous, ring the work up at what it was really worth and put the tip on top.
- Which trades is it for?
- Thirteen premade models — beauty, pets, trades, landscaping, cleaning, automotive, fitness, wellness, tutoring, photography, catering, property and freelance — each with the right words, a starter price list and the right way of selling: appointments, quotes, classes or plans. Pick the closest one and change anything you like.
- Can my customers still just message me?
- Of course. You can add a booking yourself in seconds, and where you have a till, a walk-in can be rung up on the spot.
- What if I have staff?
- Right now PocketPro is built for one person’s diary, and a colleague cannot yet have their own sign-in. You can run a second person from the same account, and separate logins with their own permissions are being worked on. If that is a dealbreaker today, it is better you know now.
- What happens to my customers if I leave?
- You export them and go. There is no contract and no notice period. Your customer list is yours, and we never contact your customers ourselves.
- Can I take a deposit that holds the date?
- Yes. A quote carries a deposit, the date is held when they pay it, and the balance is collected on the day.
